DAVID O'DELL (Senior Pastor)
After graduating from Berkeley High School, David attended The Citadel, earning Bachelors of Science degrees in Biology and Electrical Engineering. He invested those skills in a 29 year career in the public power industry with Santee Cooper.
David and his family began attending SCCC in 2001. Prior to being called as senior pastor in September 2016, he served as a church elder, mentor to small group leaders, and administrative/finance team leader.
David attended Rockbridge Seminary and received a Masters of Divinity degree in Pastoral Ministry. David is married to his high school sweetheart, Kim. She is a retired nurse with a specialty in pediatrics. Kim has a sincere heart for the Lord and is truly blessed with the spiritual gift of hospitality.
David and Kim have two grown children: a son, Ryan and a daughter, Rebekah. Rebekah & her husband, Jonathan, recently added to the family with the birth of their son, Hunter. The family looks for any opportunity to get together, especially enjoying frequent family dinners.

RICK CRUZ (Worship & DISCIPLESHIP Pastor)
Rick graduated from Goose Creek High School and received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering degree from the University of South Carolina. After a career as a systems engineer for the Naval Engineering Center in Charleston for over 12 years, Rick was called to the ministry. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC in 2005. His wife, Michelle, also graduated from GCHS and received her B.S. in Occupational Therapy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is a Certified Hand Therapist.
Rick and Michelle have been married for over 30 years. They have 3 sons (and 3 daughters-in-love) – Joshua (Becca), Matthew (Lindsey) and Stephen (Jolene). The family enjoys the outdoors, kayaking, disc golfing, board games and having music jam-sessions whenever they get together.

Andrew COrneLius (Student & Family Pastor)
Andrew grew up in central Ohio where he graduated from Watkins Memorial High School in 2017. He then attended Grace College and Theological Seminary where he received his B.A. in Biblical Studies in 2021 and M.Div. in 2022. Andrew met his wife Michela at Grace College where she graduated with a degree in psychology and criminal justice, and they got married in 2020.
It was in 2022 that he moved down to South Carolina to do a pastoral residency at the Church at Cane Bay where he discovered his passion for youth ministry. Andrew and Michela enjoy drinking coffee, playing spikeball, pickleball, watching college football, and playing board games.

BETH LOWE (CHILDREN'S DIRECTOR)
Beth graduated from Goose Creek High School in 1995. She worked as a substitute teacher in Berkeley County from 2011 until 2016 and later went on to serve as the bible teacher at Olympia Gymnastics from 2019 until 2022. Beth is a member of the praise team and has attended SCCC since 2011.
She married her husband, Matt, in 2004. Matt grew up locally and has been employed with Blanchard Machinery since 2006. Beth currently works part-time as an office assistant in a Physical Rehabilitation office while homeschooling their two teenage sons, Stephen and Jacob.

CARLA LIGHTNER (ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT)
WAYNE AHL (ELDER)
Wayne graduated from Garrett High School and received a B.S. Electrical & Computer Engineering degree from The University of South Carolina in 1982. He retired from Santee Cooper after 30 years and then another 10 utilizing his experience at SERC Reliability Corporation in Charlotte. Wayne also has construction experience and has built homes and churches. His bride Kim graduated from Goose Creek High School and received a B.S Administrative Management degree from Clemson University in 1981. She is a retired school teacher.
Wayne and his bride have been married more than 38 years and have three grown children, Kirsten, Brooks and Kara, along with two grandchildren (Leighton & Walker). Wayne and Kim have been members of the church since 1997 and have helped with the youth throughout that time. They love the outdoors, watching kids pursue their activities, and helping others.
Wayne has a passion for marriages and young parents with kids. He also serves to maintain the church grounds and resources and encouraging men to be the best they can be in fulfilling their roles.
