SC3 Student Ministries exists to reach lost and broken families for Jesus.
Mission Statement
We are a group of students & adult leaders who seek to:
1) Know the Lord our God We desire that every student who enters SC3 will have the opportunity to make a decision concerning Jesus Christ. A relationship with God starts with a true knowledge of who God is, what His Son has done for us, what sin is including its penalty, our need for this Savior to pay that debt and our need to repent from our sins and make Christ Lord of our lives. (Matt 16:21-26; John 3:1-21; Rom 3:23, 5:8, 6:23, 10:9-13)
2) Love Him more each day We seek everyday to help students know and live in the love of Jesus Christ. We endeavor consistently to help each student who enters SC3 to know that we love them with the love of Christ. The world needs the best love ever offered, which is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our church seeks to help people know God through this love and to love others enough to share Christ’s love with them as well. (John 13:34-35, 15:13; Romans 8:28, 37-39; 1 Corinthians 13; Ephesians 2:4-6; 1 John 4)
3) Grow in our relationship with God & others
SC3 Students Leadership comes alongside parents to help our students grow into the purpose that God has for them. We seek that once a student knows Christ and begins to love Him that they will grow to be more like him. This comes from discipleship, which occurs through accountability relationships with other students and adult leaders. Our LiF group is designed perfectly for this! We meet on Sundays at 9 am with more opportunities coming up. Click here for more info!
This also involves intentional discipleship or mentoring. We encourage our students to “sharpen the iron” of their fellow church members and brothers/sisters in the faith. This looks much like the relationship Paul had with Timothy; a more mature person in their faith helping out someone else in their relationship with Christ.
4) Worship Him through a lifestyle of serving
Worship is a lifestyle. This means that everything we do is an act of worship to something. As God’s ambassador’s here on earth, it is our personal responsibility to be the “hands and feet of Jesus Christ.” SC3 Students seeks to start a fire in our students' hearts for service to our family, friends and community through our daily "spiritual acts of worship" (Romans 12:1-2). People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. We will earn the right to speak truth into their lives by how we serve one another !
5) Go into all the earth to share the Good News of Jesus.
Some of Jesus’ last words here on earth are called the Great Commission. He said to “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matt 28:19-20) Our mission and the peak of our goal in raising up warriors for the cause of Christ is that they in turn begin to go out into the world, sent by loving families and a church body that continues to support, encourage and supply them with whatever they need to reach their world for Christ.
